For a potential new project opportunity in Costa Rica, we are looking for a Short-Term Expert: 

Project Finance Specialist - E-Mobility & Transport Sector (m/f/d)

Responsibilities: 

• Based on several pre-feasibility studies, propose financing possibilities for an e-mobility transport project.
• Design customized, actionable solutions tailored to Costa Rica's specific context.
• Identifying and facilitating collaboration among local banks, ECAS, IFIs, and the private sector to unlock and settle on concrete financing schemes

Requirements 

• Proven experience in project finance and traditional debt structuring.
• Expertise in financial analysis, especially structuring guarantees and managing special purpose vehicles (SPVs) such as guarantee trusts.
• Significant experience working with multilateral banks and agencies, particularly in Latin America.
• Strong experience in multi-country donor funded initiatives, including working with European donors.
• A strong understanding of legal frameworks supporting financial instruments.
• Prior experience in structuring projects in collaboration with the public-sector is a plus.
• Fluency in Spanish is essential.

Timelines and location:

• Availability: part-time for 2-3 months (approx. 30-40 working days), starting September 2024
• Based in Costa Rica or available for a 2-week on-site mission
