In January 2026, Frankfurt School is excited to offer its first ever edition of the Winter School: The German Winter Summit 2026! During the two-week programme, students will stay in three of Germany's most important and interesting cities: First week will start with the country’s bustling harbour city Hamburg, over the weekend, participants will visit Berlin, Germany’s vibrant capital, and the final week takes place in Frankfurt, Europe’s financial hub and the home of Frankfurt School.

With students coming from all around the globe, participants will benefit from networking events, lectures from industry experts! The purpose of the German Winter Summit is to enhance the general and practical knowledge of Bachelor and Master students who seek hands-on experience and new perspectives.

Target Audience

German and international Bachelor’s and Master’s students who wish to develop or deepen their expertise in blockchain, finance, leadership, and management are invited to join one of Europe’s leading business schools across three exciting cities. Week I Hamburg

Frankfurt School Campus in Hamburg

The first week will take place at Frankfurt School's campus in Hamburg in the so-called harbour city. This Hamburg week will comprise exciting lectures on different topics and disciplines within the field of Blockchain & Crypto Currency, Strategy and Leadership. The lectures will be accompanied by company visits and study cases from relevant fields.

Gain a comprehensive understanding of Berlin’s transformation - from the grandeur of Prussian times to the devastation of the Third Reich, through the city’s Cold War division and its remarkable reunification. Explore key landmarks such as Checkpoint Charlie, the Reichstag, the Brandenburg Gate, and the Berlin Wall.

Week II Frankfurt

During the second week of the programme students will be at Frankfurt School's main campus in Frankfurt. The Frankfurt week will comprise exciting lectures on different topics and disciplines within the field of Business Analytics and Marketing. The itinerary features a presentation by representatives from the continent's preeminent banking authority, offering firsthand perspective on European financial governance.

Cultural Activities

This Winter School covers three of Germany's most interesting, important and largest cities: Hamburg as the harbour city in the North of Germany, Bertin as the German capital and Frankfurt as a financial hub. In each city students will have plenty of activities to discover the typical aspects of each city. Typical German dinners, sight visits and city tours will be part of it.

Site Visits 

To help students better understand the work of the organisations and companies, site visits will be part of the programme. This gives students the opportunity to talk directly to companies and on some occasions also learn about job entry qualifications for young professionals.

Excursion

Students will spend the weekend in Germany's capital Berlin: the fastest growing startup ecosystem in the world.

Berlin, the capital of Germany and the country's largest city, is also a major center of politics, culture, media, and science. Noted for its cultural flair, Berlin is home to the world famous Berlin Opera and Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra, while its diverse art scene encompasses hundreds of galleries, events, and museums, including those on Museum Island, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

With countless monuments and museums memorializing the many world-changing milestones that occurred on either side of the wall that once separated the east from the west, it's a European historical gem.

Moreover, Frankfurt School will be treating the students to delicious and memorable typical German restaurants. Typical food and drinks will be introduced to the students. In the welcorne dinner will be hosted, you will find out everything about German sausages, Green Sauce, Schnitzel and German beer and wine.

During the two weeks students will stay at three different places and hotels. Twin-room accommodation will be arranged for students at all location

Hours

The programme includes 20-25 hours of pre-reading and two daily hours of self-study. There will be a pre-reading list in advance.

Credits

Certificates with grade & ECTS at the end, students will achieve 5 ECTS

Certificate

After completing the 2-week programme, you will receive a “Certificate of Participation”, with your name, name of the programme, credits (ECTS) achieved and overall grade (out of 100 points).

Each lecturer will grade you based on different aspects. Some examples could include: a group presentation, a short test or oral participation during the class.
