For a Frankfurt School project in Brazil, we are looking for an Expert in Green Technologies and Finance (remote). The project is being implemented in the framework of the Export Initiative for Environmental Projection (Exportinitiative Umweltschutz) of the German Federal Ministry of the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMUV).

The expert(s) will support the adaptation and development of an e-learning course titled "Certificado de Experto em Finanças Verdes," which provides specialized training to companies in the manufacturing and industrial sectors across Brazil and Latin America. This course will focus on enhancing participants' knowledge in developing financing requests and investment projects, as well as the application of German environmental technologies and solutions.

Expert in Green Technologies & Finance

Responsibilities: 

• Development of teaching materials (incl. script, factsheets, web-based trainings etc.) in Portuguese on topics including:
  • Introduction to Green Technologies
  • Business Models and Cashflow Modelling for GreenTech
  • Sustainable Financing Instruments (e.g., Corporate Green Bonds)
  • Sustainability Reporting
• Support Participant Engagement:
  • Assist participants with practical project development and final projects.

Requirements 

• Relevant academic and professional experience (at least 5 years of experience).
• Familiarity with topics such as Green Finance, Sustainable Finance, Business Models & Banking, Green Technologies, and other topics stated above.
• Strong understanding of Brazil's market, including its environmental regulations, business practices, and financing mechanisms.
• Experience in project development for the corporate sector and businesses.
• Expertise in creating didactic teaching materials, including the development and delivery of online courses.
• Proficiency in Portuguese and English.

Timelines :

The assignment will be an engagement with a framework agreement (project duration until the end of October 2025, with the possibility for extension), no permanent employment. Currently, we estimate up to 45 working days in total.
