Project description

For our ongoing international sustainable finance advisory assignments, we are seeking to hire an experienced key expert that is able to work directly with our clients.

Task Description

The services requested under this assignment are as follows:

• Identifying business opportunities and challenges for financial institutions;
• Building capacities (on-the-job coaching as well as delivering trainings); conducting workshops;
• Developing sustainable finance strategy as well as helping institution(s) to implement the same, incl. but not limited to:
  • Taxonomy;
  • Business development;
  • Climate risks;
• Performing diligent analysis based on quantitative and qualitative data;
• Engaging with clients:
• Working under tight deadlines

Required qualifications

• University degree or academic equivalent in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Banking or related fields;
• Understanding of green/sustainable finance taxonomies, particularly EU Taxonomy;
• Experience in financial institutions capacity building and/or institution building and/or strategy development;
• Background in financial product/financing mechanism/business model development in sustainable and/or climate finance fields;
• Experience in implementing financial cooperation (FC) and/or experience in working in emerging markets;
• Ability to provide technical content in high quality;
• Open minded and taking initiative;
• Willingness to take over responsibility.

Nice-to-have Qualifications

• 10 years of professional experience in banking or advisory services with a focus on climate action, sustainable finance, and/or environmental sustainability; preferably more than 3 years in a leading function (team leader, head of unit or similar);
• MBA advantage;
• Additional language skills;
• Knowledge of NFRD/CSRD
• Understanding of climate risk and experience in risk modelling
