Frankfurt School of Finance & Management is one of Europe’s leading business schools, accredited by AACSB, AMBA and EQUIS. 

To strengthen our team, we are looking for a full-time Professor of Education in Entrepreneurship.

The ideal candidate will have extensive teaching experience in entrepreneurship and innovation with a demonstrated interest in and commitment to teaching and excellence along with programme development, leadership and scholarly development in entrepreneurship education. The successful candidate is expected to contribute to teaching in the area of entrepreneurship and to the overall development of the Management Department and of Frankfurt School as a whole. Your profile:

  • Ph.D. or equivalent academic qualification in the field of entrepreneurship or a closely related discipline; 
  • Significant teaching and research accomplishments in entrepreneurship, innovation, or a closely related field, demonstrated through sound knowledge in the subject area / discipline;
  • Excellence in entrepreneurship teaching and in educational leadership and innovation (e.g., through programme development and leadership, etc.);
  • Relevant scholarly activities with publications in international journals and conferences;
  • Experience in supporting the development of entrepreneurial activities (e.g., in the context of  start-ups, accelerators, business angel / venture capital processes);
  • Experience in international co-operation with universities and scientific institutions;
  • Experience in academic administration and self-governance at university-level;
  • Outstanding English communication skills;
  • International experience. 


Your duties:

  • Teaching and delivery of entrepreneurship courses across the various FS degree programmes;
  • Cooperation with the FS Entrepreneurship Centre and with other stakeholders in the entrepreneurship / start-up ecosystem of Frankfurt School;
  • Responsibility for enhancing students’ entrepreneurial experience and journey with a view to  help position FS as an entrepreneurship and start-up hub;
  • Potential involvement in executive education in areas such as corporate entrepreneurship and innovation, etc.;
  • Maintaining strong industry and corporate connections;
  • Mentoring students;
  • Performing services for the School (e.g., in the context of academic committees, etc.);
  • Contributing to thought leadership and the academic community;
  • Exhibiting sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, social, economic, cultural, international, and ethnic backgrounds of the FS students.


Desirable:

  • Particular interest in FinTech, InsureTech, digital disruption and business model innovation, venture capital, scale-ups etc.
  • Interests in the interface between sustainability and entrepreneurship;
  • Entrepreneurial mindset; ideally start-up experience as founder or in a start-up firm;
  • Experience in innovative teaching formats;
  • Strong international background.
