The Frankfurt School Blockchain Center won the “Technological Boost” Award at the conference „Knowledge Innovation Market“ in Barcelona. The main goal of the KIM conference is to enable knowledge transfer. It fosters exchange on new ideas, innovation, financing, commercialisation and internationalisation.

Manelin Moarref, Research Assistent at the Frankfurt School Blockchain Center, picked up the award. „We are proud to be honoured alongside leading international companies and to be working together on this exiting technology“, she explained.

Amongst the questions discussed at the KIM conference, were how to make future innovations more tangible, how new technologies are going to impact society and business and what policy measures Spain is adopting to push innovation during the next four years. Presentations by experts and awards for innovative paths and transsectoral business cooperation, for example in fusion energy, were also part of the conference.

The Frankfurt School Blockchain Center

The Frankfurt School Blockchain Center is a think tank and research center which investigates implications of the blockchain technology, crypto assets and distributed ledger technology (DLT) for companies and their business models. Besides the development of prototypes, it serves as a platform for to share knowledge and best practices. The Blockchain Center also provides new research impulses and develops trainings for students and executives. It focuses on banking, finance, mobility and, “Industrie 4.0”.
