Kaspar Zimmermann is an Assistant Professor of Finance at the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management and DWS Junior Chair in Finance. He obtained his Ph.D. from the University of Bonn, where he also completed his undergraduate and graduate studies. From 2021 to 2023, he worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the Leibniz Institute for Financial Research SAFE. During his academic journey, he visited the Paris School of Economics, Yale University, and the University of Chicago. His research agenda encompasses two main themes: understanding and uncovering structural changes in financial markets and the macroeconomy, as well as the drivers of booms and busts in financial markets. His contributions to the field have been published in highly regarded journals such as the Journal of Financial Economics and the European Economic Review.
