Christian Schulze is an expert on customer strategy and known for bridging cutting-edge academic research and practical business strategy. A former consultant with BCG, Christian has since collaborated with founders and top executives from over 60 companies across Germany, Europe, and globally.
His expertise in customer strategy has been recognized by major press outlets such as The Economist, MIT Sloan Management Review, Harvard Business Manager, and Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, along with appearances on national TV and radio stations including ARD, ZDF, ntv, and Deutschlandfunk. As host of the Customer Strategy ProfCast and founder of customer-strategy.de, he provides curated insights for executives in customer-facing roles through videos, podcasts, and articles.
Christian’s research on customer strategy has been published in top-tier academic journals, including Marketing Science, the Journal of Marketing, the International Journal of Research in Marketing (IJRM), and the Journal of Retailing. He has received numerous research awards and serves on the editorial review board of IJRM. Christian also co-founded YES Marketing, an annual conference that connects leading scholars from Europe’s top universities since 2018.
At Frankfurt School, Christian teaches courses on Customer Strategy and Digital Marketing across Master, MBA, EMBA, and executive programs. He also hosts the Customer Strategy Dialogue event series that brings industry leaders to Frankfurt School for intimate discussions with students and alumni.
Christian completed his graduate studies at the Technical University Carolo-Wilhelmina in Braunschweig and at Babson College (USA) and holds a Ph.D. in Business from Goethe University Frankfurt. He has served as visiting professor at the University of Texas in Austin and at Boston University. Christian is a Fulbright fellow and a fellow of the German National Merit Foundation, where he actively mentors current scholarship holders.
