Frankfurt School of Finance & Management signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) together with the Central Bank of Syria, marking both institutions’ dedication to rebuilding and modernising Syria’s economic landscape.

Dr Abdulkader Husrieh, Governor of the Central Bank of Syria, was welcomed to Frankfurt School’s campus for an exchange with representatives of the Business School’s Management Board, where both institutions stressed their shared commitment to advancing Syria’s economic recovery.

The MoU establishes a framework for cooperation, with Frankfurt School providing capacity building and technical assistance to employees of the Central Bank, to reform the banking sector and promote sustainable development, with access to finance for all. Through this partnership, both institutions have expressed a shared commitment to taking steps to foster a financially inclusive and prosperous future for the people of Syria.

Through its International Advisory Services, Frankfurt School has been devoted to advancing sustainable and inclusive economic systems worldwide for over 30 years, supporting clients and partners with technical excellence in all areas of banking and finance.

Eugen Doce, Senior Director Frankfurt School International Advisory Services, stated:

We are honoured to stand alongside the Central Bank of Syria in playing our role in the country’s path toward economic recovery and inclusive growth. Frankfurt School strongly believes that education, innovation, and strong financial institutions are key drivers of sustainable development.”

A sentiment echoed by Dr Abdulkader Husrieh who emphasised the importance of international collaboration in restoring confidence in Syria’s financial system:

"The signing of this MoU with Frankfurt School represents a powerful bridge of hope and renewal. Together, we are taking a decisive step toward reigniting opportunity and restoring confidence in Syria’s economy. This partnership will empower individuals, institutions, and communities alike to forge a foundation for a brighter, more prosperous future. One that embraces the aspirations and well-being of every Syrian.
