New conditions after Corona

The global corona pandemic poses major challenges for society and the economy in all countries. Many companies are coming under financial pressure – this is changing the M&A market. "Until last February we had a sellers' market worldwide. The sellers determined the game. Within a few weeks, this has changed completely - now we have a buyer's market because from now on they set the conditions", says Professor Christoph Schalast, Professor for Mergers & Acquisitions, Business Law and European Law at Frankfurt School of Finance & Management. The expert, who initiated the Master of Mergers & Acquisitions at the business school, expects takeovers of ailing companies, especially from those countries that are emerging from the crisis better than others.
