Privacy Policy Seminar Registration

2. For what purposes and on what legal basis do we process your data?

As part of the seminar booking or request, we process the data that is requested on the registration form.

The processing of these data takes place for the purpose of fulfilling the contract or for the implementation of pre-contractual measures at the request of the data subject, Art. 6 sec. 1 b) GDPR.

The provision of personal data is necessary for the conclusion of the contract and the fulfilment of the contract. If the requested data is not provided by you, a contract cannot be concluded.

We will also use your postal address to send you promotional material in the future. We also use your e-mail address to provide you with information about your own similar goods or services. This is based on our legitimate interest in direct marketing. You can object to the processing for the purpose of direct marketing at any time. For more information, see paragraph 5.

3. To which recipients will your data be passed on?

We only share the personal data that must necessarily be passed on in order to provide our services. Recipients include postal service providers to provide you with seminar documents, credit institutions for the collection of the seminar fee and, if applicable, courts and authorities in the event of non-payment. We also partly work with co-organizers of seminars and we may also need to pass on personal data to them. We also share lists of participants with lecturers and participants of the seminar. A transfer to other service providers takes place only insofar as this is necessary for the implementation of the seminar.

To manage your personal data, we work with an external IT service provider who provides us with a customer relationship management system.

Your data will not be transferred to a third country or to an international organisation.

4. How long will your data be stored?

We store your personal data for the performance of the contract and for the fulfilment of statutory retention obligations, at the most until the expiry of the tax and commercial regulations, unless you have expressly consented to further storage.

5. Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict the processing of your personal data as well as the right to data portability and a right of objection in accordance with Sections 15 to 21 GDPR.

Insofar as special categories of personal data are processed on the basis of your consent, you can revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future. You also have the right to complain to a supervisory authority.

6. Your right to object

You can object to the use of your data for advertising using electronic mail at any time, without incurring any costs other than the transmission costs according to the basic rates.

  • What rights do you have in the event of data processing due to a legitimate or public interest?

Pursuant to Article 21(1) GDPR, you have the right, for reasons arising from your particular situation, to object at any time against the processing of your personal data which may be based on Article 6 (1) of the GDPR (data processing in the public interest) or pursuant to Article 6 (1) f GDPR (data processing in order to safeguard a legitimate interest), this also applies to profiling based on this provision.

In the event of your objection we will no longer process your personal data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for processing that outweigh your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing serves to assert the rights, ecercise or defend legal claims.

  • What rights do you have in the case of the data processing for the operation of direct marketing?

If we process your personal data in order to conduct direkt marketing, you have the right to object at any time to the processing of your personal data for the purpose of such advertising in accordance with Art. 21 sec. 2 GDPR, this also applies to your profiling, as far as it is related to direkt marketing.

In the event of your objection to the processing for the purpose of direct marketing, we will no longer process your personal data for these purposes.
