Target Group

The course is aimed at professionals involved in investment analysis, who are seeking to learn the specifics of RE project evaluation and financial modelling. For example, financial consultants, project developers, and specialists from plant operators and manufacturers who are responsible for sourcing projects and negotiating with investors, as well as for corporate account managers and sales staff. Participants need to have basic knowledge on renewable energy technologies and financial modelling. This course is also suitable for Alumni of the Certified Expert in Climate & Renewable Energy Finance online course or the Sustainable Energy Finance Summer Academies.

Learning Target

The market for renewable energies is continuously growing, providing good business opportunities for many actors in the sector. In this advanced financial modelling course on financing solar PV systems, you will learn about the essential elements of financing for solar projects. Step by step, you will be guided by experienced professionals who guarantee the build-up of know-how through exercises, tasks and joint discussions. We start with a general overview of financing and business models of renewable energy technologies before we deep dive into financial modelling for a Solar PV project for SME businesses.
