Competences, contacts and careers

This year, 6 November saw the 11th annual FS Career Day. Over 900 students from across Frankfurt School’s study programmes met 500 enthusiastic representatives from 108 companies. The fair -spread over two floors of the Adickesallee campus- presented exciting entry opportunities and career prospects to graduates.

"Career Day 2019 is the largest in Frankfurt School’s history. It has become one of the largest career events in the Rhine-Main region. We are very proud of this" said Prof. Nils Stieglitz, President of Frankfurt School.

Professor Stieglitz was particularly pleased with the range of industries represented. Not only do banks, financial service providers and consulting firms exhibit at Frankfurt School, but also an increasing number of consumer goods manufacturers such as Nestlé, Dr. Oetker and Adidas. Retail and fashion chains, as well as industrial companies, were also among the exhibitors.

Students not only meet HR staff at Career Day but also get to know Frankfurt School alumni who have been in professional life for years. They now give students valuable tips on career planning from their employer's stand. One of them is Carlos de Oliveira, who completed his MBA at the Frankfurt School and was representing his employer, Boeing. "I'm delighted to be back at Frankfurt School and to meet so many motivated students."

Arina Evenkova is living proof that careers can begin on Career Day. Two years ago as a Frankfurt School student, she met her current employer Reckitt Benckiser at Career Day. She kept in touch and joined the company after finishing her studies.

The exhibiting companies were impressed by the preparation, qualifications and internationality of the students. "We are always looking for a pipeline of great talents. Here at Frankfurt School, I see a broad and diverse group of talented students“ said Janis Bauer, CFO at Procter & Gamble for Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
