On Tuesday, June 18, 2019, Frankfurt School of Finance & Management held an Alumni & Friends event at China Europe International Business School in Shanghai. MBA and Bachelor of Arts students as well as alumni, who currently live and work in the metropolis, participated. Furthermore, Frankfurt School staff and business partners attended the event.

Professor Dr Horst Löchel, Professor of Economics and MBA Programme Director at Frankfurt School, opened the event on behalf of the business school. He empasised the importance of good relations between China and Germany.

Professor Dr Nils Stieglitz, Frankfurt School President, held a keynote-speech on “strategy as a skill”. Following, participants could ask questions about the topic.

Business Schools sign Memorandum of Understanding

In order to enhance further cooperation, Frankfurt School and China Europe International Business School signed a Memorandum of Understanding at the reunion. The goal is to deepen the existing collaboration in receiving the respective classes of the MBA and Executive MBA programmes, for example through hosting international modules and study tours. Furthermore, the institutions aim to co-develop programmes for Chinese companies and executives investing and operating in Germany and Europe in the phase of market entry. Also, the business schools want to develop programmes for German Mittelstands and family enteprises targeting the Chinese market. The Memorandum of Understanding officially begins on January 1, 2020 and is signed for a period of five years.
