Frankfurt am Main, 17.07.2019 12:00:00

From Monday, July 1, to Friday, July 5, 2019, Frankfurt School of Finance & Management held its 20th Inclusive Finance Summer Academy. 70 participants from 25 countries took part to get new insights in the fields of risk management, housing finance, digital finance, SME banking, rural finance, human resources and social performance assessment. The Summer Academy is a practitioner platform where participants can develop the necessary leadership skills to achieve the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

In addition to the seven tracks, the Climate & Sustainable Finance Summer Academy of Frankfurt School also took place in the first week of July. The course is dedicated to the advancement of the SDGs and focuses on the transition towards a low-carbon climate resilient economy. The Frankfurt School – UNEP Collaborating Centre for Climate & Sustainable Energy Finance organised the event.

The Summer Academy focuses on specific courses on campus as well as visits to major German institutions to get a better understanding of current trends in emerging markets and developing economies. Furthermore, the event provides many opportunities to engage, network and socialise with peers from each Summer Academy course. Because of that, the academy also invites its participants to an international barbeque on campus at the end of the week.
