Frankfurt School of Finance & Management, together with Enterprise Partners and the Association of Ethiopian Microfinance Institutions (AEMFI) have signed a letter of intent to develop an international certification scheme to train, mentor and certify Technical Service Providers (TSPs) for microfinance in Ethiopia.

The partnership aims to create a pool of locally qualified TSPs that could provide high quality and affordable technical assistance to Microfinance ensuring that small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are better equipped in creating more job opportunities, in particular for women and the youth. The trainings will include various thematic courses such as risk management, strategy & business modeling, product development, customer service and relationship management as well as training of trainers.

Furthermore, Frankfurt School will provide direct assistance to AEMFI with set standards geared towards institutionalising and ensuring the sustainability of TSP trainings and certification programmes in the country. The first training session will begin in November 2018.
